Dehumidifier specs & selection guide capacity, drainage, noise, logos, packaging and compliance
This guide collects the specifications buyers set when sourcing crawl space, small, desiccant, mini and quiet dehumidifiers. Capacity (pint/day), noise (dB) and applicable-space figures are labeled typical / approximate. It describes construction and processes — it is not a list of certified ratings or test results.
- Capacity, drainage and noise planning (typical / approximate)
- Platform differences: crawl space, small, desiccant, mini, quiet
- Logo methods, packaging, MOQ drivers
- Buyer-specified electrical and safety testing
Platforms
- Crawl space — low-profile, continuous drain; see crawl space dehumidifiers.
- Small — compact room / closet compressor; see small dehumidifiers.
- Desiccant — rotor / media for cooler spaces; see desiccant dehumidifiers.
- Mini — desktop / countertop; see mini dehumidifiers.
- Quiet — sleep / low-noise focus; see quiet dehumidifiers.
Capacity (pint/day) and drainage
- Capacity — pint/day bands are planning figures labeled typical / approximate; confirm with your test method on samples.
- Applicable space — square-footage guidance, when given, is typical / approximate only.
- Drainage — bucket, gravity hose, condensate pump; choose per install site.
- Defrost — important for cooler crawl spaces and basements.
Noise (dB)
Sleep / low / high dB bands on this site are typical / approximate. Measurement method and mode must be agreed for any packaging claim. Quiet-positioned SKUs are detailed on the quiet dehumidifier page.
Logo methods
- Pad print and silk-screen — housings and panels.
- In-mold / badge — premium pieces.
- Printed packaging and consumable sleeves — full-color brand presentation.
Packaging options
Color boxes with foam; contractor cartons; gift boxes for mini; consumable multipack sleeves; manuals; barcodes and marketplace labels.
Packaging & MOQ
What drives MOQ:
- Tooling — existing mold with your logo starts lower than a new housing.
- Colors and finishes — custom molded colors have minimums.
- Logo method and packaging — printed boxes have their own minimums.
- Testing — buyer-specified electrical or safety testing may set a practical minimum per SKU.
- Mixed SKUs — combining platforms and consumables helps fill a shipment.
MOQ and lead time are quoted per SKU; no prices are published. Send your RFQ via the inquiry form.
Compliance — buyer-specified, available on request
We do not hold out certifications, listings or test data on this site — no UL / ETL, CE, CB, FCC, RoHS, REACH, ENERGY STAR or ISO claims. Compliance belongs to a specific SKU, market and channel:
- Channel. You tell us where the product will be sold and what your customer or platform requires.
- Electrical. Mains dehumidifiers need electrical-safety (and where applicable EMC) compliance for the market, planned per SKU.
- Thermal / heater. Desiccant reactivation heaters need thermal safety plans when specified.
- Humidity framing. Products are humidity-control appliances — not medical devices.
- Mold / hygiene. No mold / bacteria / virus kill claims without buyer-specified testing and approved wording. No treatment of mold illness.
- Capacity / noise. No certified pint/day or dB figures published here; verify on samples. Site figures stay typical / approximate.
Labeling and claims are the brand owner’s responsibility. Rules change; confirm current requirements with your test lab or compliance advisor.
Quick reference — platform, capacity focus and compliance focus
| Category | Typical focus | Compliance focus (buyer-specified) |
|---|---|---|
| Crawl space | Low profile, continuous drain | Electrical; cooler-space defrost |
| Small | Compact room compressor | Electrical; capacity/noise typical |
| Desiccant | Rotor / media + reactivation | Electrical + heater safety |
| Mini | Desktop / thermoelectric | Electrical / USB rules |
| Quiet | Sleep / low-noise modes | Electrical; dB method agreed |
| Consumables | Desiccant / filter packs | Fit; no kill / life claims |
General reference for product selection — not product ratings or test results. Testing and documentation are confirmed per SKU and per order.
No certifications, listings, ratings or test data claimed. We describe what each product is made of and how it can be customized. We do not display certification or listing marks (such as UL / ETL, CE, CB, FCC, RoHS, REACH or ENERGY STAR), publish certified pint/day or dB ratings, test results, factory capacity or customer cases on this site. Capacity, noise and applicable-space figures are labeled typical / approximate. Where your channel needs testing or documentation, it is buyer-specified and available on request — arranged per SKU at a third-party lab you choose or approve. No medical claims and no mold / bacteria / virus kill claims are made. Labeling and claims are the brand owner’s responsibility.
Frequently asked questions
What pint/day capacity or room size do you rate?
Capacity (pint/day), noise (dB) and applicable-space figures on this site are labeled typical / approximate for planning and quotation. They are not published as certified product ratings. Actual performance depends on conditions (temperature, RH, airflow, drainage), test method and the SKU drawing. You specify the performance targets and test method your channel accepts; we build samples to that brief and you verify them — in-house or through third-party testing arranged on request. Any capacity or coverage figure on your packaging or listing must come from that verification.
Do these dehumidifiers treat mold illness, allergies or other medical conditions?
We make no medical, therapeutic or health claims for any product — no cure, treatment, prevention or relief wording for mold-related illness, allergies, asthma, respiratory conditions or similar. We describe humidity-control construction (compressor or desiccant, drainage, noise, capacity bands labeled typical/approximate) and build to the specification you approve. Any health-related claim on your packaging or listing is the brand owner’s responsibility, must be supported by your own evidence and may bring the product under medical-device or advertising rules in your market.
Do your dehumidifiers kill mold, bacteria or viruses?
We do not claim that any product kills mold, bacteria, viruses or fungi, or that a unit “sterilizes” a crawl space, basement or room. Dehumidifiers are described as humidity-control appliances that help manage moisture levels; any antimicrobial, purification or mold-remediation claim must be backed by buyer-specified testing for that SKU and market, and wording is the brand owner’s responsibility. See the compliance section of our specs guide.
Are your dehumidifiers certified (UL / ETL / CE)?
We do not claim any certification, listing or test result on this site — no UL / ETL, CE, CB, FCC, RoHS, REACH, ENERGY STAR, ISO or similar marks. Compliance belongs to a specific SKU, a specific market and a specific sales channel: tell us the destination market, the channel (appliance brand, retailer, property program, distributor, marketplace) and the standard, test or document your customer asks for, and the quotation sets out how it will be handled — typically third-party testing at a lab you choose or approve, on production samples, available on request and quoted per SKU. See the compliance section of our specs guide or ask on the inquiry form.
What is the MOQ and lead time?
Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on the tooling (an existing mold vs. a new housing), capacity band, drainage options, noise targets, colors, logo method, packaging, desiccant / filter consumables and any buyer-specified electrical or safety testing; lead time depends on customization, sampling rounds, testing and season. Send your quantities and we confirm both on the quotation — see also the packaging & MOQ section of our specs guide.
